Meet Antonela Guignard

Depression is like a woman in black. If she turns up, don’t shoo her away. Invite her in, offer her a seat, treat her like a guest and listen to what she wants to say.”
— Carl Jung, Psychiatrist

Antonela’s primary focus is helping women to escape from the dark pits of Post-Partum Depression while strengthening their self-love and purging toxic shame out of their lives. She knows first hand that motherhood is beautiful as well as painful both physiologically and psychologically.

She is/has

  • an ER Doctor trained at Sorbonne University in Paris, with 11 years of experience in hospitals

  • specialized training in addiction recovery (tobacco, alcohol, substances)

  • done research and treatment for teen depression and domestic violence, and supporting women to break free from toxic relationship cycles

  • currently in training as an Augmented (Psychedelic) Therapist with the MIND Foundation in Berlin (2024–2026)

  • fluent in Romanian, French, and English.

  • now based on Réunion Island, bringing a multicultural lens to her work

I don’t have a magic wand. But I do have my story, my training, and my presence. I am here to listen, to support, and to walk beside you as you find your way back to yourself.
— Dr. Antonela Guignard, MD

Antonela knows firsthand that motherhood is as beautiful as it is painful. As a new mom and survivor of severe postpartum depression, she carries both the scars and the wisdom of that journey. Her mission now is to help other women move through the shadows of depression with compassion, courage, and connection.

For her, depression is not a weakness. It’s a signal — a call to realign with our deepest and most vulnerable parts. And while society often teaches us to silence or hide our struggles, Antonela believes healing begins when we learn to listen, accept, and integrate those experiences.

She doesn’t offer “quick fixes.” She offers presence. She listens deeply, holds space, and guides women (and other people struggling with depression) with tools that meet both the heart and the mind. Alongside traditional approaches, she embraces supportive modalities — from cacao and medicinal mushrooms to modern consciousness techniques — always tailoring her approach to the unique needs of each individual.
