Meet Julianna Markus

The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but the capacity to find joy and meaning in everyday experiences without needing to escape from them.”
— Anna Lembke, MD (psychiatrist and author of "Dopamine Nation")

Julianna’s primary focus is helping people to escape from the despair of food addiction, transform their lives in a holistic way and build capacity for joy and connection.

  • an Augmented (Psychedelic) Therapist in training (MIND Foundation, Berlin, 2024-2026)

  • an Electronic Music & Weird Sounds enthusiast

  • based in Trier, Germany, works in the Trier-Luxembourg Region in person and online

As a recovered food addict herself, her calling for this work is deeply personal and profoundly professional.

Food addiction is the disease of our time and systematically embedded in our consumer society, where the willpower and autonomy of the individual is diminished by the overwhelming power of industrial and economic forces at play. Therefore it takes utmost personal determination, the skilled guidance of a qualified professional and the healing, sustaining support of a community to achieve lasting change. But it’s possible, and Julianna and her clients are living testaments for it. As a Founder of The Natural Intelligence Collective (NICO) she and her fellows are determined in providing attainable and sustainable, holistic health for people in a likeminded community built through true, human connections.
